The developments and advancements of 3d technology in the past few years alone has been outstanding.
It was impressive when 3D movies first came into the cinema, and then films like Avatar brought with them such rich clarity and detail that really showed how spectacular and defined the technology can be. I'm sure all digital animators and CGI specialists and students are clamouring to take the latest 3d tutorials to keep up with the ever-growing technology.
But the developments since then have been surprisingly fast. Who thought we'd have 3D TVs so soon? They're pricey but it'd be great to be able to watch 3D movies, programs and sports matches in 3D from the comfort of your own living room.
Some bars now offer 3D showings of football matches. I think of all things, sports matches are one of the best uses for this technology, because, depending on your point of view, sometimes it's hard to tell which direction the ball has gone, and 3D technology would certainly make that clearer.
